Ratings: 3.5 to 4 Moons
(I promise to explain)

Juliette has a problem.  Her touch well it's deadly.  Just how deadly you ask?  She isn't sure.  Deprived of touch, locked away from humanity for 3 long years - she finds herself a pawn in the power play of a warped mind.  Juliette also finds something unexpected, something precious something worth fighting for.  Now Juliette is in a race to discover what exactly she is capable of and along the way she learns sometimes it's necessary to take a side.
Yes, I know another YA.  I read this on the advice of a friend that shouted from the commuter bus rooftop that this was the story to read.  I am glad that I read it.  Now you ask why the 3.5 - 4 moon rating,  well I kind of felt that this was just a piece of the story, a well written and thought provoking piece but never the less a piece.  Too many important questions were left unsaid for me to give this a solid 4 moons... that being said I loved what I read.  Juliette was a shattered individual picking up the pieces of herself and learning to stand on her own two feet.  Warner was a tortured hero who become a blood lusting villain nonredeemable in my eyes.  Adam the sensitive hero,  I liked Adam at first but at the end I sort of loved him.

This really didn't read at all like a YA for me if it wasn't for the actually ages of the characters being revealed I probably wouldn't have given it a second thought.   I can't wait to read book 2 so all those pieces are tied up.

Disclaimer:  Book was obtained at BEA 2011 - ARC

Note:  I prefer the white ARC cover over the actual.
