Guest Review (Lil' sis) of Alien in the Family ARC

Lets give a big welcome to my little sister, Meg.  She loved Alien in the Family so much she volunteered to write a review.   Her very first review - probably her last since it was so stressful to write - just kidding.   So with much fanfare and happy dancing here is, with trumpets blaring ....

Megan's Review of the Alien in the Family (ARC) by Gini Koch

What can I say?  I absolutely love, love, love the Alien series by Gini Koch! I was introduced to this series by my sister and quickly became hooked.  I am delighted to have been asked to review Alien in the Family for Ms. Koch.  Please note that it is my recommendation that in order to fully appreciate this series you should read them in order.  All of the books build off of each other.  You can read them as stand alone books, but you will enjoy the series so much more if you read the books from start to finish.  With that being said, please enjoy my review of Alien in the Family below.

(There will be spoilers for the first 2 books so please be warned)

Katherine Katt (aka Kitty) and Jeffrey Martini (aka Martini) are both Commanders in the Alpha Cetaurion Devision.  Their mission is to ensure that Earth does not know that alien presence exists and to be the front line of defense when "fugly" aliens show up to wreak havoc!  Along the way they have fallen in love by standing side by side fighting off fuglies of epic proportion.  First there was the gigantic parasite in Touched by an Alien and then came the super alien conscious in Alien Tango that could destroy the entire world in an instant, but connected with Kitty to form a relationship that is pure and from the heart and we can't forget the epic evil - a human.

The third book, Alien in the Family, is Gini Koch's finest yet. It was actioned packed from start to finish.  It starts out on top of a mountain when Kitty realizes her unity necklace is more than it seems!  Along come some of the craziest aliens that Earth has ever seen seen to wreck some havoc but Kitty has it all under control.  Now Kitty and her gang have to deal with - crazy relatives from Alpha Centauri who want to take over the galaxy, test her worthiness and possibly kill her, a few crazy alien diplomats (who end up as best girlfriends)  and a couple dozen amazonian like assassins who are hell bent on taking her and everyone close to her out. While all of this is taking place her best friend Chuckie takes charge of the Alpha Centaurion Division, which in itself adds a whole lot of stress since he still wants to marry Kitty and loves letting Martini know.

One of the best parts of this book is that through all the events and drama of what is happening (which is Kitty's normal day to day routine) the author never loses focus on what is important:  Kitty and Martini getting married!  With the help of her other best friend Reader, the wedding planner from hell, the wedding will take place in time to save the day.  Save the day from what you ask?  Well, you will have to read this book to find out.

I give this book a 5 MOONS.  It was as good, if not better than the previous two.  Each book builds on the previous book.  You will already be anticipating the next book before you are even finished.  I know I am.

I battled for it in Gini's Worth your weight in a 'gator battle royale. For once the gods of random were nice to me.

I've loved the first two books of Gini Koch's Alien series and I look forward to reading AitF when my pre-order arrives. Gini Koch is such a wonderful author and dedicated not only to her writing, but also to her fans.

A great review! You make me more anxious to read it.

I can't wait for this book to come out! Though on the whole Chuckie topic, you'd think Kitty would put her foot down with him insisting on marrying her.
